Here's a brief recap of our busy and fun Labor Day Weekend Events:

All participants received a gold medal, a fish and day pack bag and had a blast!

This even was so successful that we are going to move the 2016 2nd Annual Youth Fishing Contest to Memorial Day Weekend and host an ADULT Fishing Contest on Labor Day Weekend, next year.  We figured it would be best to stagger the events over the two major holidays, so as to not interfere with "BOAT TIME". : )

  • 5th Annual Wine Tasting at the Point, hosted by Me and The Crew
  • Classic Static Display, hosted by Bob Oldfield and The Crew
This year we had KARAOKE and Lip-Synching courtesy of Pres Emeritus, Dick Voohrees and DJ Anthony taking requests from an enthusiastic crowd of revelers.  The adults needed wine to cure stage fright, but the children just needed nightfall and then they took over the mic!!!
(I'm not kidding) Cheers All!

The Classic Display was fun for all to enjoy!  Thanks to all the participants!!!

Wally Lake Fest Announcement

Subject: 2015 Wally Lake Fest

Dear lakefront neighbors,

In two weeks, Wally Lake Fest will be here again! It’s a great weekend full of fun activities in the lake region. Each year, we look forward to meeting lakefront owners while conducting tours. We hope that you’ll consider attending this year. We will be offering tours of the dam (not power plant) on Friday and Saturday, August 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All ages, rain or shine, and registration is not required.

Come walk across the dam and learn the history of how the lake was built, how the shoreline is managed, and how the water from the lake is used to create electricity for the local area. Hope to see you there! J

Just an FYI:   If you are a "weekender" and have garbage pick-up; please consider creating a "wooden enclosure" for your trash cans. (see the Regec's system on N. Maple for example) The cans cannot sit out until your next visit as the bears always figure out a way into your garbage before its collected and your neighbors regularly have to pick up the mess the bears leave behind.  Thanks. : )

and finally... MANY MANY THANKS TO OUR DOCK REPAIR CREW:
